Save Rocket League chats to a local JSON file

Features

  • Easily enable/disable logging for different types of chats:

    chat logging options

  • Logs useful information about each chat:

    • Player name
    • Chat
    • Date/time
    • Chatter's relation to user (teammate/opponent/spectator/etc.)
    • Chatter's platform (PlayStation/Xbox/Steam/Epic/etc.)

  • Option to minify JSON files

  • Clear chat logs with one press of a button

Usage

Chats will be stored in the Chat Logs folder inside your BakkesMod data folder

  • If you happen to enable Save chats mid-match, this has the added benefit of also saving any chats that were sent before you toggled the setting (no chats are lost)
  • Enabling Clear chats effectively turns the plugin off, but you still keep the above benefit

Chat Logger installation

1. If you recieve a prompt asking to open "Open plugininstaller.exe", click "Open" to install the plugin with BakkesMod

2. A black window will open to tell you the installation status

3. When the black window tells you it's finished, you're ready to start using the plugin!

Chat Logger installation

  1. Find your BakkesMod installation location
    • This will be found by opening the BakkesMod Injector window and going to the top menu, clicking "File -> Open BakkesMod Folder"
  2. Copy the downloaded ZIP's files to the same locations in the BakkesMod folder.
  3. After copying the files, launch Rocket League and ensure the plugin works by opening the F6 console and typing plugin load [plugin DLL file name]
  4. If the plugin works, in the BakkesMod folder edit the "cfg/plugins.cfg" file with notepad. At the very bottom, add a new line with the content plugin load [plugin DLL file name]
