Auto-Clip by Medal

Automatically record clips of specific in-game events

Description

This plugin is used alongside Medal to automatically trigger a clip recording when certain events occur. Currently, the following events are supported:

  • High Five
  • Epic Save
  • Own Goal
  • Overtime Goal
  • Aerial Goal
  • Pool Shot
  • Demolish
  • Backwards Goal
  • Bicycle Goal
  • Long Goal
  • Turtle Goal
  • Assist
  • Hoops Swish Goal
  • Goal
  • Save
  • Low Five

Installation

  1. Download and install the Medal Desktop App
  2. Download and install BakkesMod
  3. Download the Auto-Clip by Medal plugin

Usage

Once you've installed the above, open the Medal Desktop App settings and enable or disable auto-clips for each event. After an event occurs, the plugin will trigger an auto-clip and be displayed in your library.

If there are other players in the match that have Medal installed, you'll be given the option to tag them in your clip.

Auto-Clip by Medal installation

1. If you recieve a prompt asking to open "Open plugininstaller.exe", click "Open" to install the plugin with BakkesMod

2. A black window will open to tell you the installation status

3. When the black window tells you it's finished, you're ready to start using the plugin!

Auto-Clip by Medal installation

  1. Find your BakkesMod installation location
    • This will be found by opening the BakkesMod Injector window and going to the top menu, clicking "File -> Open BakkesMod Folder"
  2. Copy the downloaded ZIP's files to the same locations in the BakkesMod folder.
  3. After copying the files, launch Rocket League and ensure the plugin works by opening the F6 console and typing plugin load [plugin DLL file name]
  4. If the plugin works, in the BakkesMod folder edit the "cfg/plugins.cfg" file with notepad. At the very bottom, add a new line with the content plugin load [plugin DLL file name]
